Meet Francesco

Clinical Psychologist, PhD, AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor | 15+ years of experience

I was born and raised in Italy, where my journey into psychology and psychotherapy began. After completing my degree in Clinical Psychology, I pursued postgraduate training in Systemic Therapy, working alongside pioneers in family therapy, and later specialised in Clinical Sexology.

Over the past 15 years, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families with a wide range of challenges, including mental health, intimacy, and relationship difficulties. My approach combines clinical expertise with a warm, collaborative style that helps clients build healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I hold a PhD from the University of Melbourne, where my research focuses on Videoconference Psychotherapy and how technology shapes the therapeutic relationship.

I am also an AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor, providing clinical supervision to psychologists and provisional psychologists across Australia..

My Background

My approach is grounded in warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity. I create a safe, non-judgemental space where people can explore their thoughts, emotions, communication, intimacy, and relationship patterns.

I draw from Systemic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and specialised interventions for eating disorders, including CBT-E and FBT.

I completed my PhD at the University of Melbourne, where my research examined how videoconferencing shapes the therapeutic process and the experience of connection ion online therapy. This work deeply influences my clinical practice, particularly in supporting clients through Telehealth with flexibility, presence, and clinical rigour.

Alongside my clinical work, I am an AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor, providing professional supervision for psychologists and provisional psychologists across Australia. I am passionate about collaborative care and have worked closely with GPs, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to provide integrated, person-centred support.
